Brief Trips to Sanity

As any of my friends can testify...my life has been one long series of unbelievable but yet hysterical events. Some not so funny at the time...but given time and perspective, they have proved to be the material of great stories that will be told for generations. Maybe my scribbles here will give you some incite into my twisted, but yet entertaining head.

Hokies United

This past week 23 undergrads and 10 grad students from Tulane University in New Orleans were enrolled at Virginia Tech. Colleges across the country are taking in these displaced students and Va Tech is no exception. These students should know that they are gladly welcomed by Hokies everywhere and you are now a part of our rich heritage. We pray that Tulane will soon be back on its feet...but until then and even after...you can now count the very zealous Hokie family as your own. As noted by the announcers for the Tech - Duke game on Saturday...Va Tech fans have become famous nationwide for their school spirit and for being one of the best "12th men" in the country.

Hokies United, a group that was formed after 9/11 to raise money for victims and their families, is now back in action raising aid for Hurricane Katrina victims. Virginia Tech has put together a list of ways to help through the University that are listed on the web site I have linked above. Please do what you can and keep praying!
