Brief Trips to Sanity

As any of my friends can testify...my life has been one long series of unbelievable but yet hysterical events. Some not so funny at the time...but given time and perspective, they have proved to be the material of great stories that will be told for generations. Maybe my scribbles here will give you some incite into my twisted, but yet entertaining head.

Somebody Please "PIMP OUR RIDES!" Apparently, It Could Be Worse!

If you're sitting there right now thinking: "Why is Kel posting pictures of her car?"...then take a closer look!

Several weeks ago I was leaving the lab at some ungodly hour in the morning and David stopped me on the way out and told me to drive to the lower lot because there was a car I HAD to see. He told me I'd know it when I saw it. He was right!

For those of you who haven't seen my ride in a while...I have a very lovely '95 Buick Century. When I first got it...it was well...a Buick...but all considered it was actually pretty nice. After enduring almost 6 yrs of my driving, been involved in two "hit and runs" (NO, I wasn't the one running!), a nice fender bender, running over a large deer, and hitting a hawk mid-air; it now has a few cuts and bruises. To finish it off I am now officially hubcap-less...which I kind of like because until now it was the signature look of my sweet ride.

When I pulled in to the lower lot I saw the car shown above...I thought to myself: "Wait...that's my car...oh, no it's not...IT'S WORSE!!" Not only is it hubcap-less, but they have white walls on the front and not on the back. Then notice the hood...they have obviously lost some paint and the front lights are strategically held on by none other than duct tape! The pictures don't even show you that there is merely a whole in the trunk where the lock should be.

So my next thought was: "Well...I guess it could be worse!". :) I propose that the TV show Pimp My Ride should hook us both up...I mean how cute would that be!
